Basic RV information for everyone that needs it!

If you are looking for basic RV information the choices may seem a little bit overwhelming. It's safe to say that you can find an answer for just about every question that you might have. So where do you go for answers?

One thing to consider is asking folks at the campground where you are staying for advise. It's amazing how helpful people can be if you give them a chance. If someone looks like they have been towing or driving RV's for years they are probably a wealth of information.

My husband and I have been doing this for 25 years. We have had our share of "stupid moments". You do learn by trial and error sometimes.

For my money I prefer getting my information on the internet. One of the downsides of a the RV magazines is that you can't always find just exactly what you are looking for. Most good websites have their own search area that you can use to pinpoint the information that you need.

Another great thing about basic rv information websites is the ease of navigating through them. Who wants a big stack of magazines at the house? I don't know about you but most of the magazine subscriptions that I ever had are a waste of money and paper.

We all deal with the same problems ordinarily at one time or another. Whether it is knowing how to winterize our rig, dealing with electrical and plumbing problems or how to tow a travel trailer. Most RV dealers are very helpful but they charge you an "arm and a leg" to fix anything. If you have a choice always try to do things on your own.

Over time, you will find that many of the things that seemed insurmountable are not so bad after all. Take good notes when you buy an RV and ask lots of questions before you take it home.

Writing things down sure helps me particularly when I am dealing with something completely new. It's only natural to be a little confused about taking care of an RV. There are heaters, water heaters, refrigerators, air conditioners and more on most of the units today. They are more complicated!

If you need basic RV information keep in mind that you may have to spend a LITTLE money every now and then. After all, your RV is a big investment. Maintaining it and taking care of it should be a priority!
